PRODUCTION FACILITIES
The operations carried out for the different production processes take place in adjacent but well separated warehouses, all located in the leather tanning district of Arzignano, Italy.
A dedicated area for the products suitable for human consumption has been established. Here splits in lime are processed using fleshing machines, pneumatic trimmers and washing drums and the preserving treatments with lime or salt are carried out.
The splits not suitable for human consumption, intended for technical productions, are processed and stored in a different warehouse in order to comply with veterinary regulations and avoid any contamination with the food products.
The processes concerning the tanning department take place in a third distinct complex, where splits and double-butts at wet-blue, wet-white or crust stage are trimmed, selected according to thickness and quality and, if required by the customer, split and shaved.
